- Abstract
The article discusses the localization of versican to nail mesenchyme containing onychofibroblasts. Polydactyly operations resulted in the obtainment of the distal fingers with nail unit as longitudinal sectioning was applied to frozen tissues. Nail growth is considered to have a possible need for epithelial-mesenchymal interactions.
