- Abstract
The article discusses various aspects of a recently published document on controlled and comparative studies on non-healing wounds. It is stated that non-healing wounds are a significant problem for health-care systems worldwide. The development of tests and techniques to improve tissue sampling and analysis, imaging technology and scientific progress in cellular and molecular biology has enabled the development of more objective wound outcome parameters.
