- Authors
Wagner, Lynne I.; Lacouture, Mario E.
- Abstract
The article discusses dermatologic toxicities associated with epidermal growth-factor receptor inhibitors (EGFRIs) from a clinical psychologist's perspective. A study was conducted to know the impact on patients' health-related quality of life (HRQL) and implications for clinical management. It is suggested that cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy techniques can be useful in treating anxiety and depression associated with cancer and treatment-related side effects.
