An editorial is presented which discusses the benefits of making investments in community-based longitudinal studies by referencing the study by author J. Mollon in the issue. Topics discussed include the approaches and methodologies used in the study which have been used to discover the cognitive predictors of psychosis and the advantages and limitations of the study.
