- Abstract
The authors comment on Rasmussen et al's report on the results of a Danish randomized controlled trial regarding the use of telemonitoring (TM) in diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). They cite a pilot monocentric randomized trial that compared the outcome of DFUs exclusively followed by TM against regular outpatient visits. They suggest that when developing TM solutions, one must remember that these innovative technologies have to be integrated in the stakeholders' routine practice.
