- Abstract
The article presents a case of a 27-year-old male who was tested positive for the Zika virus in Indonesia. The patient was rushed to a Jambi city hospital due to sudden high fever, headache, elbow and knee arthralgia, myalgia and malaise. Based on phylogenetic analysis, the virus belonged to the Zika virus Asian lineage. The virus is said to be the cause of undiagnosed cases of acute febrile illness in the country.
