- Title
Nothing Heals Without Cells.
- Authors
Rodeo, Scott A.
- Abstract
The author stresses the need to understand the complex interactions between the cells being injected into joint or tissue and the endogenous cells present in the treated joint or tissue. Topics include the contemporary understanding of the primary action of exogenous cells, important role of immune cells in tissue repair and regeneration, and the possibility of combined therapies where a hostile microenvironment might be therapeutically modified and a regenerative treatment is introduced.
