- Abstract
The article reports on the usage of animals preclinical studies that need to be carried out before translating new therapies to human clinical trials. A large number of animal species are used for our orthopaedic models which includes rats, rabbits,dogs, sheep, mini-pigs, and goats. The specific animal model chosen is very important. Deficiency of all animal models used for orthopaedic conditions and injuries to the animals are discussed.
