The author discusses that there has been increase in the use of medical technologies in research and clinical settings due to decrease in costs involved in sequencing of humam genomes. The author mentions also mentions that in the future, genomic sequence data will become a routine component in the field of medical technology which include clinical diagnosis, prevention, risk assessment and drug selection.
