- Abstract
The article offers information on a study which determines whether blast overpressure or projected material from fireworks causes eye injuries or not. It shows that the firework blast overpressures measured in the study has not caused serious eye injuries. It reflects that the study could aid in public policy decisions regarding firework laws and in the design of protective equipment. It provides information that validation data for computational models the eye is included in the study, and presents information on its limitations. Several diagrams are presented along with a table relating to the experiments used in the study.
