The article offers thoughts on the European Union. It discusses the two great achievements that the European Union can boast and its weaknesses including the problem concerning its currency. According to the author, the lack of will throughout the Eurozone in meeting the required fiscal and economic targets is the reason for the failure of Germans and French to establish a single currency. The author stresses that European Union also suffers from a democratic deficit
