- Abstract
The article discusses a study on serum interleukin-18 (IL-18) levels in chronic stage of type 1 diabetes and the possible association between serum IL-18 and various soluble adhesion molecule levels. The number of Japanese type 1 diabetic patients enrolled in the study is mentioned. The study suggests that increased IL-18 levels might be involved in the development of diabetic vascular complications.
