- Authors
Willis, L. Denise
- Abstract
The article highlights a Cochrane Review that assesses the effects of using noninvasive ventilation (NIV) in people with cystic fibrosis during exercise, during sleep, and as an airway clearance modality in comparison to no NIV. Highlights include the reason why the potential benefits of NIV during exercise are uncertain, application of NIV during sleep for single-treatment sessions and longer periods of time up to three months, and the implications of the review for respiratory care practice.
