The author comments on article "Vancomycin, metronidazole, or tolevamer for Clostridium difficile infection: results from two multinational, randomized, controlled trials" by S. Johnson published in 2014 issue of periodical "Clinical Infectious Diseases". He states a study comparing metronidazole effectiveness on vancomycin for the treatment of Clostridium difficile infection (CDI). He mentions that nonantibiotic treatment options for CDI carry a benefit over microbial agents.
