- Abstract
The article discusses the aspects of congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection which is a leading cause of hearing, cognitive, and motor disability in children. He is critical of development of vaccines aimed at prevention of congenital infection and the challenges need to be overcome. Also investigated is evidence of have greater risk of transmitting CMV to the fetus among pregnant women who are tested for CMV infection.
