- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 30-year-old woman with a small lump at her right lateral malleolus after an ankle sprain. Arthroscopy affirmed pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) that led to arthroscopic synovectomy. After three years of follow up, discomfort in both ankles suggested a PVNS recurrence on the right side and confirmed PVNS on the left side. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed no recurrence on the right ankle. Moreover, excisions were performed for the left ankle.
