- Abstract
The article discusses a proposed quantitative magnetization transfer imaging (qMTI) based on nonbalanced steady-state free precession (SSFP) sequences. An extended SSFP free induction decay (SSFP-FID) signal equation derived from a binary spin-bath model to incorporate MT effects is explained. The numerical simulations performed to confirm the derived two-pool SSFP-FID signal equation are tackled. Also discussed are specific signal properties of SSFP-FID and balanced SSFP (bSSFP).
