- Abstract
Systemic Amyloid Light-chain amyloidosis with colonic involvement complicated by colo-colic intussusception A 64-year-old female with known systemic Amyloid Light-chain (AL) amyloidosis complicated by end-stage renal failure on haemodialysis with hepatic and cardiac involvement presented with a 1-day history of acute abdominal pain and frequent passage of stools associated with haematochezia. The patient remained well on outpatient follow-up without recurrent episodes of gastrointestinal bleeding or symptoms of intestinal obstruction, with a view to restart systemic treatment for her systemic AL amyloidosis.
