- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 13-year-old Caucasian male referred for evaluation of persistently elevated liver enzymes to the Pediatric Hepatology Clinic. It cites that the patient was noted with abnormal transaminases 2 years earlier, and complained of mild abdominal pain once per week. The article discusses non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), metabolic syndrome, and pediatric obesity.
