- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the relation between prompt revascularization (PR) in medical therapy (MT) and mortality or cardiovascular (CV) events in patients with type 2 diabetes and coronary artery disease (CAD). The results of the study indicate a 30% relative reduction in mortality from 14% to 9.8%. Further, a difference was also found in the trials indicating a difference in the effects of PR and MT in major CV events.
