- Abstract
The article presents a study concerning separation of mitogenic activity of CEL-I which is an N-Acetylgalactosamine (GalNac)-Specific C-Type Lectin from marine invertebrate Cucmaria echinata (Holothuriodea). It mentions that the mitogenic activity of CEL-I which attained a maximum at 100 microgram inhibited by GalNac. It shows that CEL-I is a potent mitogenic lectin with the ability to stimulate both T and B cells.
