- Abstract
The aim of this study was to relate the self-assessment serve, effectiveness and efficacy of this plea. Study participants were two female volleyball teams of infant category, with a mean age 14.63 ± 0.5 years and practice time 4.92 ± 1.87 years. Applied to Self-Assessment Scale Serve in Volleyball and conducted technical Serve escalte. The results showed differences in the effectiveness of the team "A" (37.26 ± 19.38) and Team "B" (53.89 ± 14.18) (p = 0.02) and efficacy of Team "A" (91 50 ± 5.51) and Team "B" (96.21 ± 4.46) (p = 0.02). In the self-assessment was difference between the team "A" 45.20 ± 5.11 and Team "B" 41.78 ± 3.19 (p = 0.05). There was a moderate correlation (r = 0.65 p = 0.00) between self-assessment and practice time for both teams. In conclusion, the team that won the best placement was the one that presented more effective and efficacious in the execution of the service.
