- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 31-year-old man with metastatic pheochromocytoma, who presented with fever and elevated aminotransferases in six days following the completion of chemotherapy. He was diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (HSV) hepatitis after skin findings suggested cutaneous HSV. Results of direct fluorescence antibody (DFA) and skin biopsy revealed HSV-1 in patients, and ulceration and viral cytopathic changes consistent with disseminated HSV infection.
