- Title
Adherence to Nonnucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor--Based HIV Therapy and Patient Outcomes.
- Abstract
The article cites a study which investigates whether human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) treatment combinations that contain nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs) require the same high level of adherence to treat effectively HIV infection. The researchers studied 2,821 HIV-infected adults who received NNRTI-containing treatment. It was found that patients who received drug combinations that contain NNRTIs have good viral load outcomes with medium adherence levels.
