- Abstract
A prototype of a magnetic field sensor based on (GMI) giant magneto-impedance is presented, these is adapted, to locate the position and the movement of a magnetic sample. An amorphous magnetic ribbon Fe67.5Cr8Nb3Cu1Si13.5 B9 of 5 cm long and 2 mm wide is used as a GMI element for the development of the system, to obtain GMI response and AC voltage respect to a external DC magnetic field, A magneto-impedance measure system developed by the GMMMA of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Sede Manizales is also used.
