- Title
PATTERNS OF MALADJUSTMENT IN CHILDREN.
- Authors
Lorr, Maurice; Jenkins, Ricrard L.
- Abstract
The article reports on patterns of maladjustment in children. The development of satisfactory concepts for groupings, classes, or types of behavior disorders in children has been slow. There have been atleast two important reasons for this. One is that the endless variety of individual yet overlapping problems does not lend itself to easy division into satisfactory groupings. Another is that the backwash of psychiatric progress from the more static and descriptive psychiatry of a researcher and his times to the more dynamic psychiatry of another researcher and recent times has resulted in a pronounced tendency to disparage all descriptive classification as "undynamic."
