- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 50-year-old woman with unilateral erythema and oedema of the left eyelid and accompanying discomfort and patient had tolerated jewellery, cosmetics and medicines. Her lymphocyte transformation test (LTT) showed lymphocyte reactivity to gold in two concentrations and patient developed isolated hypersensitivity to gold. It also mentions histopathologicalexamination can help to confirm the diagnosis of allergy to gold.
