- Abstract
The article examines the importance of the 5-A-DAY public health message that emphasizes the health benefits of getting five 80-gram portions of fruit and vegetables every day in Great Britain. It discusses several studies that examined the association between fruit and vegetable intake and disease risk. It also presents the opinion of the authors about these studies and the World Health Organization (WHO) dietary guidelines for fruit and vegetable intake.
