- Title
Regulation of glucose metabolism in T cells; new insight into the role of Phosphoinositide 3-kinases.
- Authors
Finlay, David K.
- Abstract
The article discusses the role of phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3K) for the regulation of glucose metabolism in T cells. It emphasizes that the PI3K acts as a signalling molecule in T cells. It mentions that such kinase is not an essential regulator for the uptake of glucose and glycolysis in mature T cells. It also notes that T cell metabolism can be affected by disrupting PI3K.
