- Abstract
The article discusses the study which aims to set priorities in research towards reduction of worldwide mortality from childhood pneumonia by 2015. It mentions that initiatives to control pneumonia in children have failed due to lack of knowledge on the implementation of cost-effective interventions. It notes the mismatch in the initiatives for research and investment which failed to focus on the role of pneumonia in childhood mortality.
