- Abstract
The article presents an instructional activity that teaches students how to record detailed field notes and sensory observations that become the framework and inspiration for poetry. Semi-structured field-note entries are used in this field-note poetry exercise which can be utilized in any outside location that supports instruction like pond, field and local park. In the said activity, students groups are asked to explain their drawings in a class discussion.
