- Abstract
Objective: To compare the measurement effect of the Implicit Association Test (IAT), the Brief Implicit Association Test (BIAT) and the Single Category Implicit Association Test (SC-IAT) on the implicit suicidal ideation in college freshmen. Methods: In the 2016 freshmen (n =6951) of Guangxi University, 261 students were selected to conduct IAT, BIAT and SC-IAT. After removing invalid subjects, each of the three groups had 80 valid participants. The index value of the effect index (D value) of each experiment was the index value of the implicit suicidal ideation. And the results of the Symptom Self-rating Scale (SCL-90) item 15 and the Students Personality Questionnaire (UPI) item 25 were used to assess the explicit suicidal ideation. Result: The D value of the total sample and different demographic characteristics of the 3 groups were significantly different from 0 (Ps < 0. 05). The difference of the D values among the 3 groups was statistically significant (P <0. 001), and the D value of IAT group was the largest There was no statistically significant correlation between the scores of SCL-90 items 15 and the D values of the IAT, BIAT and SC-IAT measurements, the scores of UPI items 25 and the D values of the IAT, BIAT and SC-IAT measurements (Ps >0.05). Conclusion: Compared with BIAT and SC-IAT, IAT measurement has the highest effect index, which sensitivity is the best And it is better to measure the effect of implicit suicidal ideation in college freshmen.
