- Abstract
The article describes a landscape matrix that mediates the occupancy of avian insectivores in central Jamaica. It examines the effectiveness of multi-season occupancy models in determining the relative influence of patch area, patch isolation, within-patch vegetation structure and on occupancy dynamics of insectivores in the area. The study suggests that species occupancy dynamics in fragmented systems may depend upon the landscape context.
