- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 76-year-old female patient with Gram-negative septic shock due to E coli. Topics include collection of Ceftriaxone, plasma, prefilter, postfilter, ultrafiltrate, and urine samples at 8 different time points; measurement of total and unbound concentrations of ceftriaxone; and the effect of unbound ceftriaxone plasma concentrations on the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic targets in patient requiring continuous venovenous hemofiltration (CVVH).
