- Abstract
Three forms of laboratory formulations of the entomopathogenic isolated fungus Beauveria bassiana were prepared as Wettable-Powder (WP), Dust (D) and Emulsion (E). The formulations were evaluated by two experiments: effect of storage duration on spores' viability testing the three fungus formulations, and virulence of B. bassiana tested formulations against larvae of the cotton leaf worm, Spodoptera littoralis (Boisd.). Dust formulation was the best formulation for maintaining the viability of conidia longer and then wettable powder. On the contrary, the emulsion was the lowest for keeping the spores survived throughout the tested periods of storage. In the second evaluation, dust formulation was more virulent to S. littoralis larvae than the other formulations. In addition, WP and E formulations were less virulent when compared to pure conidia (control) or D formulation.
