- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the effect of carbon-ion beam (CIB) treatment with or without an affixed dendritic cell (DC)-based immunotherapy in mice implanted with calls from a poor immunogenic squamous cell carcinoma cell line (SCCVII) and underwent multiple tumor challenges. Laboratory animals from Shizuoka Laboratory Animal Center in Japan were used. The study concluded that the use of a clinically available dose of CIB induces a favorable effect on anti-tumor immunity against murine SCC.
