- Authors
Dorff, Tanya B.; Quinn, David I.
- Abstract
The authors reflect on the role of chemotherapy for cancer patients. They differentiate neoadjuvant therapy from adjuvant therapy in which they argue that neoadjuvant allows cancer patient to undergo chemotherapy without postoperative morbidity and allows observation on cancer response while adjuvant provides treatment based on the disease stage' accurate concept. The author also notes on the study by Gallagher and colleagues regarding perioperative chemotherapy for urothelial cancer patients.
