- Abstract
The characters “ ” and “ ” in this cover picture mean lithium in Chinese and Japanese, respectively. In Chinese, “ ” has the same pronunciation as “ ” (Li) that means the carp. In Japanese, “ ” (Koi) also denotes the carp, and the carp ‐ shaped windsocks, “ ” (Koi ‐ nobori), drawn here in Ukiyo ‐ e ( ) style are traditionally used to celebrate the Children′s Day in Japan. This picture represents the revisited use of traditional organolithium compounds that opens up a new route in the fast ‐ developing area of inert C−O or C−N bond activations. More information can be found in the Full Paper by C. Wang, M. Uchiyama et al. on page 15693 ff.
