- Abstract
The article describes the investigation being conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local health departments in line with the multistate outbreak of fungal infection associated with the injection of methylprednisolone acetate solution (MPA) compounded at New England Compounding Center (NECC) in Framingham, Massachusetts. It relates the four categories of cases in patients who received an injection with MPA produced by NECC.
