- Abstract
The aim of this article is to describe a model for Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) which tries to represent its principles in a graphical and operative way. Such principles fit into the postmodern movement, although they also have their roots in the systemic and constructivist approaches as a theoretical framework. The model is built around the features of SFBT, of which the dialogical interaction between therapist and client stands out as a key element for the success of the therapy. In addition, a hypothesis of relational adjustment between client and therapist based on the definition of the "problem-solution" continuum is formulated, which allows to predict how this adjustment will affect the possible therapeutic outcomes.
