SOFT TOUCH, STRONG SALES.

- Abstract
The article considers consumers' preference for soft fabrics. What consumers generally describe as the softness that brings them a sensation of comfort is actually a series of factors. To attempt to define those elements that constitute the overall sense of comfort consumers associate with a soft hand. Perhaps the most important consideration in quantifying and qualifying comfort requires trained panelists and a set of reference fabrics. Some fibers lend themselves naturally to moisture wicking; others have natural loft and natural insulation.
