- Authors
Tsai, Alexander C.; Tomlinson, Mark
- Abstract
The authors focus on people suffering from mental illness in the African countries and also highlight the methods of treatment of perinatal depression in Khayelitsha, South Africa. They say that a large proportion of mental disorders are caused due to failures of human development as targeted through the Millennium Development Goals. They also mention that prevention or treatment of perinatal depression requires additional assumptions about the relationships between underweight and mortality.
