- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the effectiveness of zinc oxide cream with colloidal oatmeal extracts for the treatment of molluscum contagiosum (MC). MC refers to a viral skin infection commonly experienced by children. The study involved six healthy children with cutaneous lesions of MC. The study showed the inhibitory impact of oat extract on eicosanoid formation, cytosolic phospholipase A2 (PLA2) expression, and arachidonic acid mobilization in human keratinocytes.
