- Abstract
The article offers information regarding mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. It notes that these lymphomas arise in any extranodal organ and in the stomach where its development is linked to chronic Helicobacter (H) pylori infection. It states that the treatment aimed at eradicating the H pylori infection results in remission of gastric MALT lymphoma and radiotherapy treatment for non-gastric MALT lymphomas can be effective while antibiotic therapies are still investigational.
