- Abstract
The article discusses research being done on oral contraceptives (OC) and ovarian cancer. It references a study published in a 2008 issue of "Lancet." The researchers provided evidence that OC provide protection against ovarian cancer for up to 30 years or more after patients stop taking them. It was also observed that the longer the women takes the pills the greater her chance to reduce the risk she enjoys.
