- Abstract
Los modelos de atención para personas con discapacidad han estado basados en la implementación de actuaciones y actividades terapéuticas; teóricamente, en la medida en que pudieran tener éxito (mejora en la capacidad funcional) esto incrementaría sus posibilidades de participación social (paradigma médico-rehabilitador). La Convención Internacional de Derechos de Personas con Discapacidad (CIDPD) promueve un nuevo paradigma basado en la participación social, en el que, con independencia de los resultados terapéuticos, se promueve la inclusión de la persona con discapacidad en los contextos sociales que le son propios, para que, de acuerdo con sus características personales, pueda desarrollar estrategias propias de aprendizaje. El Proyecto se desarrolla en un Centro de Día mediante una experiencia en la que personas, con y sin discapacidad, puedan desarrollar conjuntamente sus capacidades artísticas, obviando fines terapéuticos, en el ámbito de la danza y de la música, mediante tres actividades paralelas: formación, creación musical y producción de espectáculos. Para evaluar la experiencia se consideró la adhesión de las personas al proyecto, la preferencia de la actividad y la valoración del público asistente a las representaciones. Las actividades del laboratorio de danza se han consolidado entre las demás del Centro, ha surgido un grupo artístico estable integrado por personas con y sin discapacidad que actúa públicamente en certámenes sociales ordinarios. Al concluir, la totalidad de los participantes iniciales finalizaron el proyecto y la totalidad de los participantes expresaron preferencia por la actividad por encima de otras actividades terapéuticas. Personas con parálisis cerebral han desarrollado capacidades para la danza. Las coreografías originales se han creado desde la observación de los movimientos naturales de las personas con parálisis cerebral, los cuales se han integrado de forma natural con los de los bailarines sin discapacidad.
