- Abstract
The article describes a case of a newborn female with Down syndrome and transient myeloproliferative disorder (TMPD), also known as transient leukemia (TL). Topics covered include the patient's hemoglobin and white blood cells (WBC) count, the findings of the abdominal ultrasound, the procedures underwent by the patient, such as cardiac surgery and G tube placement, the detection of trisomy 21 as a somatic mutation, and the creation of a classification system by the Children's Oncology Group.
