- Abstract
In a far-sighted decision, Dan initiated early during his tenure at Cedars-Sinai a unique nuclear cardiology image database that contained a comprehensive set of clinical, stress test, and imaging variables for each patient studied in his laboratory. Graph Daniel S. Berman, MD, has been a major force in advancing noninvasive radionuclide imaging of the cardiovascular system and in moving SPECT imaging of myocardial perfusion and function from its early investigational phase into the mainstream of clinical cardiology. Reflecting on his tenure as chief of cardiology at Davis, Dean Mason remembers Dan Berman as "one of my most outstanding cardiology faculty."[1] He had planned to write with Dan a book on nuclear cardiology.
