- Abstract
The article presents a study on the awareness of non-occupational physicians on the possible role of occupational risk factors in the multifactorial etiology of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). It reveals that family or attending physicians in the hospital asked the concerned patients in only 41% of the cases about their occupation or specific job tasks. The occupational risk factors identified were work with repeated movements of the wrist and work in a cold environment.
