- Abstract
The article discusses the concept of "going more than halfway" in the context of anthropology and Aboriginal cultural engagement. It reflects on the work of W.E.H. Stanner, an Australian anthropologist, who emphasized the importance of openness, empathy, and justice in understanding Aboriginal people and their cultural worlds. The article explores how contemporary projects in anthropology, such as the ones featured in the collection called REACH, continue to embody this ethos of engagement and revitalization. It highlights the creative and collaborative nature of these projects and their potential to challenge traditional scholarly production and inspire new forms of discipline-based knowledge.
